Eleonora Moroncini

Research Associate at Procella Therapeutics

Eleonora Moroncini is a PhD candidate currently engaged in a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Network fellowship at Nordic Bioscience, starting in April 2024. Previously, Moroncini worked as a research associate at Procella Therapeutics AB from July 2022 to April 2024 and contributed to HLA-related projects at CareDx, Inc. from April 2020 to July 2022. Moroncini's research experience includes a graduate research internship at Karolinska Institutet, focusing on NMDA receptor activity in excitatory neurons derived from iPSCs from schizophrenia patients. Training included various techniques such as cell culture and drug treatment. Additionally, Moroncini completed a master thesis at McGill University investigating the behavioral effects of stress on DOR and GPR88 knockout mice, and an Erasmus traineeship at the University of Liège, emphasizing protein characterization. Moroncini holds an international master's degree in Neuroscience from Università degli Studi di Trieste and possesses a background in Biotechnology and Biochemistry from Università di Siena and University of Liège.
