Brian Cools worked at ProAssurance as an Assistant Vice President of Marketing & Brand from September 2015 to present. Prior to that, they were the Owner/President, Creative Director, and Graphic Designer at Cools & Currier, Inc. from May 1996 to September 2015.

Brian Cools obtained their Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Graphic Design/Advertising from Central Michigan University, where they studied from 1980 to 1984.
