Joe Lee is an experienced leader in the steel and metals industry, currently serving as the General Manager of Long Products at Primetals Technologies since February 2023, where the focus is on supporting the UK and European steel sectors. Prior to this role, Joe managed the PRISM program at the Materials Processing Institute, overseeing a £22m research initiative for the UK Steel & Metals Sector. Joe's extensive background includes significant positions at both Primetals Technologies and Siemens VAI, encompassing roles such as Technical Manager for Plate & Steckel Mills and Process Manager for global steel production processes. Joe has contributed to industry knowledge as a board member of the Iron and Steel Group at the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining. Joe holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management and an MEng in Materials Science & Engineering from The University of Sheffield.
