Marina Fridman is a data journalist and analyst at Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK) since May 2023, providing data support to investigative journalism teams with a focus on climate change. Previously, Marina served as a Research Associate Professor at OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University from July 2021 to April 2023, where responsibilities included implementing graph databases, conducting machine learning workshops, and teaching data science approaches in neuroscience. Marina's extensive experience includes roles as a data wrangler at Rancho BioSciences, a data scientist at iLoF, and a postdoctoral researcher at the Champalimaud Foundation, where research centered on neural imaging data and vision. Marina holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and multiple degrees in related fields, highlighting a strong foundation in both neuroscience and data science.
