In their previous role as the Vice President WW Marketing at Cisco Systems Inc, they were responsible for the development and execution of global marketing plans and strategies. Sameer also served as the Sr. Vice President WW Services at Cisco Systems Inc, where they oversaw the development and delivery of world-class services.

Since 2013, Padhye has been working as an advisor for various startups including prezent.ai, Pulse42.io, and envite. In their current role as an advisor at prezent.ai, they are responsible for providing strategic direction and guidance to the company. Sameer is also a member of the board of directors for Fixstream Networks Inc.
