Roy F. Heilman is an experienced writer and outdoor enthusiast, currently serving as a columnist for Mankato Free Press and a contributor for Press Publications since June 2021. With a robust background in outdoor content, Roy has held positions as a writer, content director, and webmaster for Never A Goose Chase, and as a contributing writer for Outdoor News since February 2018. Roy's previous experience includes working in outdoor retail with Gander Mountain from July 2000 to August 2002. Educationally, Roy F. Heilman holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from Gustavus Adolphus College and a Master's degree in Music Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music, where studies were undertaken from 2002 to 2004.
