Tami Shields Silverman, DPA, is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in nonprofit management and organizational leadership. Since April 2016, Tami has served as President & CEO of The Indiana Youth Institute, overseeing programmatic initiatives that support over 3,300 nonprofit organizations focused on children and families. Tami is also a member of the Presidential Leadership Scholars program, class of 2020. Previously, Tami was the Chief Executive Officer for Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity, Foundation and National Housing Corporations, leading operations for a network of 134 collegiate and 202 alumni chapters. Earlier in Tami's career, a tenure as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Sojourn Shelter & Services involved managing a comprehensive nonprofit organization that provided residential and legal services. Tami holds a BS in Marketing from the University of Illinois and has furthered education at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
