Karl Kapp is a Full Professor of Instructional Technology at the Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania, where responsibilities include teaching online instruction design and serving as the Director of the Institute for Interactive Technologies since August 2009. Kapp founded the Learning & Development Mentor Academy in July 2021 to support seasoned L&D professionals through a unique program. As a Co-Founder of Enterprise Game Stack, Kapp designs and delivers engaging online games that reinforce learning. Additionally, Kapp serves as an Author of courses for LinkedIn Learning, covering various topics such as gamification and learner engagement. Advisory roles include positions at RCM Labs, Cashee, Presentr, eLearning Talent, and Stella Connect, focusing on powerskills, financial literacy for teens, and gamification. Kapp co-founded 2K Learning to create educational games for teachers. Kapp holds an EdD in Instructional Technology from the University of Pittsburgh and a BA in English from Dickinson College.
