Grant Murgatroyd has extensive work experience in the field of journalism. Grant is currently working at Preqin as the Head of News since January 2023 and also holds the role of Senior Writer, EMEA since July 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Journalist as a freelancer from March 2007 to July 2020. Grant has also served as the Editor-in-chief at Bladonmore from February 2004 to March 2007. Before that, they worked as an Editor, Real Deals at Caspian Publishing from July 1999 to January 2004. Grant Murgatroyd started their career as a Private Equity Correspondent at Financial News from July 1998 to June 1999.

Grant Murgatroyd received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Geography from the University of Nottingham, where they studied from 1988 to 1991.
