Derek J. Kroes has a strong background in engineering and has held various roles throughout their career. Derek J. started at Read-Rite Corp. in 1992, where they managed a metrology group and was part of the team that started the tape head division. In 1996, they moved on to Power Integrations, where they began as an Applications Engineer before transitioning to a role as a strategic customer liaison and working on special design projects. In 2007, they joined Tesla Motors Inc. as a Senior Test Engineer before becoming a consultant at Euthenic Designs in 2009, where they worked on electronic hardware and system design services. Derek J. also worked as a Principal Analog Engineer at Array Power, Inc. before joining Clean Wave Technologies, Inc. in 2013 as a Principal Power Electronics Engineer. Most recently, in 2018, they became the Vice President of Engineering at Pre-Switch, Inc.
Derek J. Kroes has a solid education background with degrees from the University of Michigan. Derek J. first attended the university from 1968 to 1972, earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSE(EE)). During this time, their field of study focused on microwave devices, circuit analysis, and electronic devices and circuits.
Later, Derek pursued further education at the University of Michigan from 1975 to 1976, where they obtained a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSE(EE)). Their studies in this program focused on electronic circuits and bio-engineering.
