Cathy Svetanoff is a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience in higher education and nonprofit sectors. As Chief Financial Officer at Prairie State College since June 2023, Cathy oversees fiscal units and auxiliary services, collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance student success and achieve strategic goals. Previously, Cathy held the CFO position at the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority from June 2015 to May 2023, managing a $6.1 million budget and operational finances. Cathy's leadership capabilities were further demonstrated while serving as Interim President/CEO in 2021-2022, where management of a diverse staff was essential during a transitional period. Further contributions to Ivy Tech Community College as Director of Accounting and to Valparaiso University in various development roles underscore Cathy's strong financial acumen and strategic vision. Cathy Svetanoff holds a BS in International Management from Butler University and an MBA from Valparaiso University.
