Sharon L. Crane serves as the President of the Practising Law Institute (PLI) since August 2021. Prior to this role, Sharon held the position of Executive Director at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP from April 2007 to August 2021, where responsibilities included global leadership of the multinational law firm, strategic planning with the Management Committee, and collaboration with the co-Executive Director for operational success. Sharon's prior experience also includes roles as Director of Legal Personnel and Human Resources and Director of Legal Recruiting at DLA Piper, along with a stint as Legal Recruiting Manager and Corporate Associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP. Sharon holds a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Columbia Law School, earned from 1999 to 2002, and an AB in Psychology from Georgetown University, completed from 1995 to 1999.
