Marina Sokolova has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Marina started their career in 1995 at Samsung Electronics, working at their Research Center in Moscow. During their time there, they participated in the SDX-RB project, where they were responsible for communication protocols, database data storage, and GUI interface. In 1999, Marina moved on to Nuance Communications (formerly ScanSoft, Inc.) as a Software Engineer until 2002. Following this, they joined thinkorswim in 2005, where they worked as a Software Engineer on their Online Brokerage System implemented on the Microsoft .NET platform until 2007. Marina's most recent role was at Practical Computer Applications, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer from 2008 onwards.
Marina Sokolova obtained their Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Moscow State Institute of Radio Engineering, Electronics and Automation (Technical University) during the period from 1986 to 1992. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in MCSA: SQL 2016 Database Development and Exam 761: Querying Data with Transact-SQL from Microsoft in May 2019 and February 2019 respectively.
