Joost Ubbens is an experienced professional in the chemical industry with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as General Manager for the Glass Recycling Business in Europe at PQ Corporation since 2004, Joost has held various key positions, including Integration Director and Commercial Director, where responsibilities included overseeing the detergent and ceramic industry businesses in the EMEA region. Joost's procurement expertise was enhanced by managing operations in multiple countries across Asia and a joint venture with Shell. Prior to PQ Corporation, Joost was the Site Manager at Wellman Inc. and held significant roles at Neste OY, contributing to technical marketing and industrial management. Joost began the professional journey with environmental and technical engineering at Akzo Nobel and Neste OY. Joost holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
