Michael Sterne CFA, CPA, currently serves as the Assistant Vice President of Bank Loan Management and previously held the title of Credit Associate at PPM America, Inc. since October 2019. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Audit Associate at KPMG US from October 2017 to October 2019, where Michael led audits for private equity funds and managed the implementation of new accounting standards. Earlier roles at KPMG included engagement as an Audit Associate, overseeing various clients in the investment management sector, and conducting detailed revenue procedure audits. Michael also gained experience as an Audit Intern at KPMG and as an Intern at Mesirow Financial, where responsibilities included operational due diligence for hedge funds. Michael began a career in consulting as a Project Manager at Illinois Business Consulting, managing teams and client engagements. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
