Wei Wang currently holds the position of S&T Product Development Senior Manager at PPG Industrial Coatings since January 2022 and serves as a Lead S&T Product Development Chemist at PPG Industries since May 2021, working on Auto OEM, heavy-duty equipment, and wood coatings along with project management. Previously, Wei Wang was an R&D Chemist at Rust-Oleum Corporation, developing new oil and water-based resins for wood care products from September 2017 to March 2021. A role as a Research Associate at Wayne State University involved super-hydrophilic polymer coatings for marine applications, including extensive field testing in the Great Lakes. Wei Wang also served as Principal Investigator at Repela Tech LLC, focusing on the development of industrial coatings for marine anti-fouling applications. Wei Wang earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Engineering from Tianjin University.
