Cheuk Fai “Gordon” Chiu, Ph.D., is a Senior Research Chemist at PPG since October 2021. Prior to this role, Chiu served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the National Energy Technology Laboratory from March 2019 to October 2021, conducting research on the enrichment and separation of rare earth elements from coal and catalysts synthesis. Chiu completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh, where research involved the interaction of carbon nanotubes with polyunsaturated fatty acids and the bio-degradation of nanotubes through fluorescence and Raman spectroscopy. Chiu also contributed to undergraduate research at Temple University and participated in a research experience at Rice University.
