Olwethu Mateta is an experienced inspector at the Perishable Products Export Control Board (PPECB) since March 2017, bringing expertise in quality control and food safety. Previously, Olwethu served as a Quality Control Intern at Elvin Food And Beverages from March 2016 to February 2017, where responsibilities included implementing HACCP systems, conducting sensory evaluations, performing laboratory tests, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Technology in Consumer Science: Food and Nutrition from Durban University of Technology, a Level 4 Certificate in Food Safety and HACCP from South African Food Safety Corporation, and a National Diploma in Food and Consumer Science from Walter Sisulu University.
