Derick West is an experienced Human Resources professional currently serving as the Human Resources Manager at PPC Zimbabwe since July 2021, overseeing HR functions at the Quarry Mining & Clinker Manufacturing Plant and leading the compensation, benefits, and rewards strategy for the Zimbabwe Group. Previously, Derick held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (Pvt) Ltd from December 2016 to March 2021, and led the Learning and Development function there as well. In earlier roles at Lafarge Cement Zimbabwe, experience included management of compensation, benefits, and talent, along with industrial relations and welfare. Additional experience includes positions at ZIMASCO Pvt Limited and Hwange Colliery Company Limited, focusing on training and HR administration. Derick holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School and a BSc Honours in Psychology from the University of Zimbabwe.
