Fred Studer

Fred Studer is the Chief Marketing Officer at PowerSchool, overseeing the strategic direction of PowerSchool’s brand, corporate communications, demand generation, solution marketing and the development of messaging that resonates with the market and stakeholders. He brings more than 30 years of experience in the high-tech industry with a distinguished career in marketing, creative, and product management.

Fred joined PowerSchool from TIBCO where he recrafted the brand narrative, corporate identity, and execution strategy, rationalized product go-to-market strategy and market segmentation to drive profit and growth; and modernized demand generation to drive reduction of spend and increased conversions. Previously, he was CMO at FinancialForce, where he led the modernization of the brand, defined a targeted go-to-market model, and helped to dramatically improve marketing ROI and efficiency. Fred has also led worldwide marketing as the CMO of Gigamon and NetSuite, and before that, spent over decade at Microsoft leading the Office division and was Group Vice President of Oracle’s Business Applications marketing business. Originally from Denver, Colo., Fred received his B.S. in accounting and finance from the University of Colorado Boulder.
