Ismael Katz is a Senior Expert in Renewables & Strategy at PowerCo SE, a position held since April 2023. Prior experience includes roles at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a Senior Knowledge Analyst focused on Energy Networks and Smart Grids, as well as a Knowledge Analyst in Energy from October 2019 to April 2023. Ismael also served as an Associate Consultant at Sopra Steria Consulting and as a Research Assistant at Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE, where a Master Thesis focused on dynamic pricing for smart grids was completed. Additional experience includes internships at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and Universidad de Chile. Academically, Ismael earned a Diplom-Ingenieur in Industrial Engineering from Universidad del Desarrollo and a Master’s Degree in Sustainable Energy Systems from the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria.
