Leandro Galaz has extensive experience in educational leadership and social work, currently serving as Assistant Principal for Poway Unified School District since March 2022. Prior to this role, Leandro was a School Counselor at San Marcos High School from August 2018 to March 2022 and a Faculty Member at California State University San Marcos from June 2014 to August 2018, specializing in Human Behavior and Social Work Practice. Leandro's career began as a School Counselor for San Marcos Unified School District and a Case Manager at San Diego-Imperial Counties Developmental Services Inc. Leandro holds a Ph.D. in Social Work from Baylor University and has earned an Administrative Credential and a Master's in Social Work from California State University San Marcos and San Diego State University, respectively, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UC San Diego.
