Star J. has work experience as the Vice President of Community & Education at Postseason since September 2021 and as the CEO/Founder of SerenelyStar Publishing LLC since July 2020.

Star J. has a diverse education history. They obtained a Bachelor's Degree (B.A) in History from Arizona State University from 2014 to 2016. They then pursued a Master's of Education (M.Ed) in Education at Arizona State University from 2017 to 2019. Currently, Star J. is working towards a Doctor of Education - EdD in Educational Leadership and Administration, General at The University of Southern Mississippi, which is scheduled to be completed by 2023.

In terms of certifications, Star J. achieved the Certified Educator (PK-12) certification from the Arizona Department of Education in January 2019 and from the Texas Education Agency in May 2020. They also obtained the Applied Prevention Science (APS) certification from Arizona State University in August 2020. Additionally, Star J. acquired the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification from the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDCHQ) and the Small Business Enterprise (SBE) certification from NCTRCA in March 2023.
