Andreas Scherbaum is a seasoned Postgres Performance Engineer at Neon since February 2024, with extensive experience in the PostgreSQL community as a board member of the PostgreSQL User Group Europe since February 2008 and as a volunteer regional contact for Germany since April 2009. Andreas Scherbaum has held various technical roles, including Head of Databases at Adjust from September 2020 to January 2024 and Principal Software Engineer at goPivotal Deutschland GmbH from August 2015 to August 2020. Additionally, Andreas Scherbaum has mentored students for the PostgreSQL Project during Google Summer of Code in 2020 and owns Andreas Scherbaum IT-Services since August 2004, specializing in PostgreSQL and various programming languages and database technologies.
