Lucas Herndon has extensive experience in community organization and nonprofit leadership. Currently serving as a Community Organizer at Positive Energy Solar since October 2014, Lucas applies skills in community engagement and advocacy. Previously, Lucas was the Executive Director of Friends of the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks from July 2012 to September 2014, focusing on the permanent protection of public lands in Dona Ana County through collaboration with diverse stakeholders and volunteers. Earlier in their career, Lucas managed COAS Bookstore from April 2006 to August 2011, overseeing daily operations and staff management. Lucas holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from New Mexico State University, completed in 2006.
