Marcia Minter is the current Trustee at Portland Museum of Art. Marcia previously worked as the VP Creative Director at L.L.Bean from September 2003 to August 2019. In this role, they were responsible for developing the brand image and product positioning for all markets and channels, as well as overseeing photography, video and advertising across all marketing channels.
During their time at L.L.Bean, Marcia was also instrumental in developing the company's "brand DNA" and brand positioning platform in collaboration with top creative firms such as Design Continuum, Pentagram Design, The VIA Agency, Erwin Penland, and Toth Brand Imaging. Additionally, they conceptualized and developed Studio 1912, an in-house 16,000-square-foot photo studio operation that provided greater creative and financial control than previously had been possible with external photo studio vendors.
Marcia is a proven leader in brand management and organizational development, with a track record of consistently executing on the company's brand positioning across markets and media to improve brand equity scores and the growth of the buyer file. Marcia is also a key partner in organizational design and restructuring, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop creative competencies, overall best practices and process workflows.
