Ran Xu has a diverse work experience in various HR roles. They started their career as a Supervisor/Trainer/Barista at Starbucks in 2012 and worked there until 2015. In 2016, Ran worked as an HR Student Consultant (Practicum) at Appnovation Technologies and as a Recruiter at Mindfield Group. They then joined Brighton College Canada in 2017 as an Employment Coordinator (Career Services) & HR and worked there until 2018.
From 2018 to 2022, Ran worked at FreshPoint, Inc. as an HR Generalist and later as an HR Manager. In this role, they were responsible for HR matters, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, DEI, and succession planning. They also led full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and training, and focused on improving employee engagement and retention.
In 2022, Ran joined Glenmore Custom Print + Packaging as an HR Manager and worked there until 2023. Currently, they are working at Portable Electric as an HR Generalist.
Ran Xu obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Food Nutrition and Health from The University of British Columbia, attending from 2010 to 2014. Subsequently, from 2015 to 2016, Ran studied Human Resource Management at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Additionally, in July 2017, Ran obtained a certification in Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) from Alexander College.
