Luiten Plekker is an experienced managing consultant at BMC, focusing on complex strategic issues within the housing sector for housing corporations and governmental agencies since May 2024. As a strategic advisor at Portaal, one of the largest housing corporations in the Netherlands, Plekker has been involved since November 2006, also serving as the program manager for "Passend Wonen," which addresses housing affordability. Additionally, Plekker is a strategic advisor for Berghauser Pont Mediagroep and teaches a course on sustainability and energy transitions. In local governance, Plekker has been a city council member since 2006, currently presiding as the chairman of the council committee in Medemblik, while also serving as the faction leader for GemeenteBelangen. Early career experience includes a role as a policy advisor/consultant at Rijkswaterstaat. Luiten Plekker holds a master's degree in Public Administration from Leiden University and has completed a leadership program in 2022.
