Andrew McDowell has extensive experience in maritime operations, currently serving as Deputy Harbour Master and Pilotage Manager at the Port of Tyne since December 2021, where responsibilities include overseeing ship operations and enforcing maritime regulations. Previously, at the Port of Blyth from July 2016 to November 2021, McDowell worked as a Marine Pilot and Assistant Harbour Master. Educational qualifications include a marine operations degree from South Tyneside College and foundational education at St Joseph's RC.
