Cor Koert has extensive experience in port management, working at the Port of Rotterdam since January 1985 in various roles including Proces eigenaar Toezicht en Handhaving, Senior Advisor, and Product Owner for the HaMIS program. Prior to this, Cor Koert served as Senior Superintendant for Noxious and Dangerous Goods at the Rotterdam Port Authority and worked as a 3rd engineer at Shell from January 1980 to February 1985. Cor Koert's educational background includes studies at Zilverline (2010), hogere zeevaartschool Rotterdam (1984-1988), and MTS Brielle (1980-1983), with ongoing education at Bureau Zuidema since 2016, focusing on influence and behavior in the context of the Port of Rotterdam.
