Daniel Read has more than 15 years of work experience in the insurance and finance industries. Daniel started their career at American General Finance in 2003 as a Financial Representative/Assistant Manager, where they worked until 2007. Daniel then joined Liberty Mutual Insurance as a Senior Claims Specialist II, where they worked for 8 years until 2015. Since 2016, Daniel has been working at the Port of Portland, initially as a Claims Risk Analyst and currently as the Claims Program Manager.

Daniel Read received their Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, General from California State University, Northridge. Daniel obtained this degree from 1998 to 2003. In addition, they obtained the Associate in Risk Management (ARM-P) certification from The Institutes in July 2022.
