Bill McCormack

Manager, Marine Security, T4, T5 Ops at Port of Portland

Bill McCormack has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Bill began their career in 1978 as a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Coast Guard, where they focused on marine facility security, operational inspections, and law enforcement. After leaving the Coast Guard in 2014, they joined Milgard Windows & Doors as a Distribution Manager and Production Manager. In this role, they managed a team of 26 personnel and oversaw all aspects of window manufacturing, including equipment maintenance, workforce management, and hiring and firing. McCormack then transitioned to the Port of Portland in 2006, where they initially served as a Marine Security Manager I, supervising a workforce of 26 security officers and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. In July 2021, they were promoted to the role of Manager, Marine Security, in charge of T4 and T5 operations.

Bill McCormack attended Portland Bible College from 1983 to 1985, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Theology/Theological Studies.
