David Goodson has a diverse work experience in the wildlife and environmental sectors. David started their career as a volunteer Primate Keeper at Howletts Wild Animal Park & Port Lympne Reserve in 2012, where they were responsible for general husbandry and maintenance work. David then worked as an Ecologist at the Environment Agency from August 2011 to October 2012. In 2013, they worked as a Carnivore Keeper at Longleat Safari and Adventure Park. In 2015, David returned to Howletts Wild Animal Park & Port Lympne Reserve as a Ranger and later became the Deputy Head Ranger in April 2022. David also briefly worked as a Social Media Coordinator for the park from June 2018 to December 2019.
David Goodson received their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Ecology and Biogeography from the University of Brighton from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended Sparsholt College Hampshire from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained a B-tec National Diploma in Conservation and Wildlife Management. David completed their secondary education at Ringwood Comprehensive School from 2000 to 2005, but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for that period.
