Averill Bryan is an experienced Emergency Medical Technician currently serving at the Setauket Fire District since June 2023 and as an instructor at Port Jefferson EMS since February 2021, specializing in practical skills training for New York State EMT classes. Previous roles include interfacility transport EMT and quartermaster, coordinating uniforms and leading training for new EMTs. Additional experience encompasses research as a Biological Research Assistant at Stony Brook University and medical assistance at the Pain Institute of Long Island. Averill has also contributed to community service as a volunteer with the Emergency Family Assistance Association and has held positions in educational support, including a role as a mathematics teaching assistant. Averill holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Stony Brook University.
