Jennifer Klare began their work experience in 2000 as a Research Associate at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Jennifer then went on to pursue their graduate studies at Columbia University in the City of New York, where they worked as a Graduate Student from 2001 to 2006. Following that, they joined Northwestern University as a Postdoctoral Associate from 2006 to 2008. In 2009, Jennifer joined Porifera as a Staff Scientist, and later transitioned to the role of Director of New Applications in September 2013.

Jennifer Klare earned an A.B. degree in Chemistry from Smith College, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Jennifer then pursued further studies at the University of Sussex from 1998 to 1999, focusing on Chemistry. Jennifer Klare ultimately completed their education by obtaining a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Columbia University, which they accomplished between 2001 and 2006.
