Dr. Eugene Wessels currently serves as the Group Chief Technology Officer at Porcupine Union and has held the position since November 2020, focusing on governance and technology projects for international companies, notably King Price Insurance. In addition, Dr. Wessels has been the Chief Technology Officer at King Price Insurance since February 2016, overseeing all technology-related strategies and financial management. Previous roles include Chief Technology Officer at Stangen and NEXT Forsikring A/S, along with a managerial position in Business Intelligence at the South African Revenue Service. Dr. Wessels began their career in technology consulting at Accenture and software development at Adapt IT Holdings. An academic background includes a PhD in Information Technology and various degrees in Informatics and Information Technology from the University of Pretoria and the University of South Africa.
