Gloria Thomas is an accomplished leader in women's leadership development, currently serving as President of HERS since August 2021, an organization dedicated to preparing women for senior leadership roles in the United States. Prior to this role, Gloria held significant positions at educational institutions, including Director of the Carolina Women's Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from August 2016 to August 2021, and Executive Director of the Center for the Education of Women at the University of Michigan from January 2009 to July 2016. Earlier in Gloria's career, the role of Associate Director at the American Council on Education spanned from January 2000 to December 2008. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Academic Affairs from the University of Michigan, a Master of Arts in Teaching of English from Villanova University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in Black Studies from Swarthmore College.
