Heather Davis has extensive experience in the medical field. Heather started their career in 1993 as a Neuroscience Research Assistant at the California Institute of Technology. From 2004 to the present, they worked as a Physician specializing in Pulmonary/Critical Care and Sleep at Chaparral Medical Group, where they were responsible for coordinating patient care in critical care beds and treating various pulmonary and sleep disorders. In 2006, they became the Subacute Medical Director at Country Oaks Care Center, overseeing medical care for a tracheostomy ventilator unit. From 2011 to the present, they have held multiple roles at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, including Medical Director of Observation Services, Medical Director of the Hospitalist Service, and Utilization Management Physician Advisor. Heather is involved in care path development, quality improvement, and coordination with various healthcare providers. Since 2012, they have also been the Chief Medical Officer at Hospitalist Corporation of the Inland Empire, where they manage inpatient and post-acute care programs.
Heather Davis obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California from 1994 to 1998. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from the University of Southern California from 1989 to 1993. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Sleep Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Pulmonary Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2011, 2005, and 2003 respectively.
