Maria Watson is an accomplished professional in advancement and development, currently serving as Vice President for Advancement at Pomona College since January 2020. Prior roles include Associate Vice President for Development and Executive Director of the New York City Office of University Advancement at the University of Southern California, as well as Director of Development at WFUV Radio and the Brooklyn Philharmonic. Maria has also held the position of Vice President of Marketing and Communications at the New World Symphony and served as Director of Marketing and Communications at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. Early career experience includes a role as Program Assistant at the National Endowment for the Arts. Educational qualifications consist of an Executive MBA from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Musical Arts in Clarinet Performance from the University of Michigan.
