Sharon Schindler Rising is a prominent figure in maternal and child health, currently serving as a founding member of Group Care Global since January 2018, where the organization focuses on implementing group health care for mothers and babies internationally. As the founder of the Centering Healthcare Institute, established in 2001, Sharon has dedicated efforts to enhancing maternal and child health through Centering group care. From 1998 to 2016, Sharon held the position of Associate Clinical Professor at Yale University School of Nursing after obtaining a Master of Science in Nursing and Midwifery from Yale University in 1967.
