Elena Giordano is an experienced professional in communications and journalism, currently serving as a News Reporter and Newsroom Coordinator at POLITICO Europe since July 2022. Previous roles include an Internal Communications Trainee at the Council of the European Union, where Elena engaged in content creation and managed internal communications, as well as supporting the UN Environment Programme in communication efforts related to sustainable consumption and production. Additional experience comprises positions as an Editorial Assistant at The Vision, a Communications and Event Manager at Ideanote, and contributing to the European Journalism Centre's events team. Elena holds a Master's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Maastricht University and a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences for Globalization from Università degli Studi di Milano.
