Zemaye J. is a dedicated advocate and youth leader with extensive experience in empowering marginalized communities. Currently serving as a Youth Leader at Point Source Youth since August 2022, Zemaye focuses on fostering leadership and mentorship programs for Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (QTBIPOC) youth. As a Youth Representative on the Box advisory council, Zemaye amplifies the voice of emancipated foster youth to influence products for those within child welfare systems. Additional roles include Event Producer for the Oakland Athletics, various internships, and leadership positions at San Francisco State University, notably as Vice President of Social Justice and Equity. Zemaye holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Africana Studies from San Francisco State University.
