Blake Barbaree is an experienced avian habitat ecologist currently working at Point Blue Conservation Science since August 2012, where responsibilities include managing a radio telemetry project focused on shorebird migratory connectivity in northern California. Prior to this role, Blake served as an Assistant Field Coordinator at Turnstone Environmental Consultants Inc., conducting field surveys for Marbled Murrelets and Northern Spotted Owls. Academic background includes a Master of Science in Wildlife Science from Oregon State University, where Blake conducted significant research on Marbled Murrelet nesting ecology and served as a lead instructor for undergraduate courses. Additional experience encompasses work as a Research Assistant at EcoHealth Alliance and as a Biological Sciences Technician for the U.S. Geological Survey, with a strong focus on avian studies and field research methodologies.
