Cory Sarks is a seasoned Senior Research Scientist at POET, with experience on both the Bioproducts Team and the Cellulosic Team since September 2015, where responsibilities include serving as the fermentation technical lead for the commercial scale conversion of corn stover to cellulosic ethanol in Project LIBERTY. Prior to this, Cory held a position as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center from January 2012 to October 2015, focusing on enzymatic hydrolysis and fermentation processes. Additional experience includes engineering support and internship roles at Endura Coatings, LLC, providing technical assistance and developing operational manuals. Cory holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with minors in Chemistry and Environmental Engineering from Tri-State University.
