John Spens has over 15 years of experience in software engineering. John is currently working at Podium as a Sr. Software Engineer/Tech Lead since January 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Jane.com as a Sr. Software Engineer from July 2016 to January 2019. Before that, they were a Sr. Software Engineer at TestOut from February 2007 to July 2016. John started their career at Sorenson Communications, first as a Software Test Engineer from May 2004 to March 2005, and then as a Software Engineer from March 2005 to February 2007.

John Spens attended the University of Utah from 2001 to 2004, where they obtained a degree in Computer Science.
