Annette Thijs is a Senior Policy Advisor in Educational Quality at PO-Raad since August 2020. Previously, Annette served as an Advisor at Curriculum.nu from August 2017 to August 2020 and at Bureau Onderwijs2032 from January 2015 to August 2017, where the platform provided governmental advice on modernizing primary and secondary education based on societal debate. Earlier roles include working in Advice & Research at Stichting Leerplanontwikkeling from 2006 to August 2015 and as a University Lecturer at Universiteit Twente from 1999 to 2006, where Annette contributed to the Educational Design, Management, and Media program and organized professional development for teacher trainers in India. Annette also conducted PhD research on the role of teachers in national curriculum renewal in Southern Africa between 1995 and 1999. Annette holds a Master's degree in Educational Science and Technology from Universiteit Twente, earned from 1989 to 1995.
