Wesley Gray, P.E. has a diverse work experience in the energy and utility sector. Wesley served as the Director of NM Field Operations at Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM) since 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Assistant Director of Electric Utility at the City of College Station from 2017 to 2021. Wesley also held the position of Assistant General Manager/ Manager of Engineering and Operations at Plumas-Sierra Rural Electric Cooperative from 2014 to 2017. Before that, they served as the Chief Operations Officer/Manager of Engineering at Public Utility District No.1 of Grays Harbor from 2006 to 2013. Wesley also worked as a Senior Engineer / Supervisor at Tucson Electric Power from 2003 to 2006 and as a Distribution System Engineer at Texas-New Mexico Power (TNMP) from 2000 to 2003. Wesley began their career as an Engineering Associate III at Austin Energy from 1997 to 1999, and prior to that, they worked as an Engineer II at Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM) from 1991 to 1997.

Wesley Gray, P.E. completed their educational journey in the field of electrical engineering. Wesley obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from New Mexico State University, where they studied from 1985 to 1990. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree at the same institution from 1990 to 1991.

In addition to their academic achievements, Wesley Gray has acquired several professional certifications throughout their career. Wesley became a licensed Professional Engineer in various states, including Texas (obtained in October 2017), Nevada (obtained in December 2015), California (obtained in July 2013), and Arizona (obtained in May 2005, but currently inactive).

Furthermore, Wesley Gray holds the esteemed APPA Public Power Manager Certification, obtained from the American Public Power Association in September 2012. Wesley is also recognized as a Senior Member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).
