J.D. joined PMV Pharma as Controller in May 2020, immediately prior to the company’s IPO. He has over 25 years of management, finance, accounting, valuation, audit, and communications experience in Big 4 accounting, Fortune 100 companies, and both privately-held and private equity backed companies. J.D.’s career has spanned a diverse set of industries, including biotech (at PTC Therapeutics), transportation, consumer packaged goods, and software.
He began his career in Chicago at Deloitte & Touche LLP. Mr. Kern received a B.B.A. in Accounting and an M.P.A. from The University of Texas at Austin. He is a licensed C.P.A. in New Jersey.
