Jakob Nalley, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Production at Pluton Biosciences since May 2024 and has been a Member of the Board of Directors for The Algae Foundation since August 2016, where responsibilities include developing curriculum for the Algae Academy and advising on workforce development initiatives. From November 2017 to May 2024, Nalley held the position of Director of Agronomy at iwi, focusing on microalgae cultivation and production. Previous roles include Program Coordinator for Science in Society at Northwestern University, Doctoral Researcher at Michigan State University, and several fellowships involving innovation and sustainability projects. Nalley earned a PhD in Integrative Biology from Michigan State University and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences and Environmental Science from Loyola University Chicago.
