Sean McGovern has a diverse work experience that spans several years. Sean started their career at GE Power as a Manufacturing Associate in 2011 and later took on roles as a Lean Coordinator and Operations Leader. In 2014, they joined GE as a Retirement Analyst before transitioning to the role of Lead Payroll and Benefits Specialist in 2016. In 2018, Sean moved to GE Digital as a Senior Technical Project Manager. Sean then joined GE Corporate in 2022 as a Staff Technical Project Manager. Currently, Sean is working at Plug Power as an IT Manager, specifically in the Global Applications Support team.

Sean McGovern earned a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from The College of Saint Rose. Sean completed their undergraduate education from 2004 to 2008. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Organization Management from The Sage Colleges-Sage College of Albany, which they completed between 2013 and 2016. In terms of additional certifications, Sean obtained a certification titled "Transitioning from Waterfall to Agile Project Management" from LinkedIn in September 2022.
